Dr. Rosalind Y. Lewis Tompkins is an internationally recognized Hopeologist®, author, speaker, apostolic leader, and transformational coach dedicated to helping individuals and communities overcome adversity through the life-changing power of hope, faith, and purpose.
As the Founder and President of Mothers In Crisis, Inc., a nonprofit organization serving individuals and families since 1991, Dr. Tompkins has impacted tens of thousands of lives through advocacy, outreach, empowerment, and compassionate care. She is also the founder of Hopeologist® Academy, creator of the Practice of Hopeology, and visionary behind the National/International Month of Hope, established to inspire a global culture of hope.
A proud alumna of Florida State University, Dr. Tompkins holds degrees in social work, divinity, and humanities. Her remarkable journey—from addiction and brokenness to healing, purpose, and global influence—has made her a powerful voice of resilience and restoration.
As a global advocate for transformation, Dr. Tompkins’ work extends across continents, establishing churches and providing hope and help to communities in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean Islands, and beyond. She has written several inspiring books, including Created Beautiful, God’s Way and As Long as There Is Breath in Your Body, There Is Still Hope.

**Through Hopeologist® services Dr. Tompkins is currently leading the Hope Campaign globally to promote the public awareness of hope through public advocacy. This is accomplished through the Practice of Hopeology.
Dr. Rosalind Tompkins created the Practice of Hopeology based upon her formal education at Florida State University in the world-renowned Social Work Department graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree, and her professional experience in founding and leading Mothers In Crisis, Inc. in 1991, where she helped tens of thousands of families to overcome crises of various kinds including addictions. This was done all through the power of hope. In addition, her personal experience of overcoming and maintaining recovery from various addictions for well over thirty-five years, has informed and led her to create a mechanism and means to harness the power of hope.
Dr. Tompkins has taken her insight, expertise, and experience and created the Practice of Hopeology, a practical, simple, yet profound approach to empower others. This innovative practice will help one to receive and release the power of hope.
